There was a lot of tension in this map. OFFs got a little headstart, as a couple of them spawned right at RA. At first it seemed that OFFs might get an early lead, but a little bit of surviving made us last a couple of minutes before their first score.
Somehow we managed to get ourselves together, and therefore stay unfrozen. One by one we put OFFs in cold state, which also lead us to control RA, the heart of dm7 :). First 5-10 minutes we took turns on controlling RA area, and the scores stayed even during that time. In the last 10 minutes or so, we managed to tighten up our teamplay even more. And OFFs didn't manage to coordinate attacks to RA area. A couple of more points to us in the last minutes and the final score 5-2 in this map. q3dm14tmp
Surprisingly this was the choice for OFFs, as we were expecting it to be cpm4,
in which OFFs had played quite well in earlier matches in the Freezecup. Luckily
for us, we had praccied against 7SS just before this war, and of course on this very map.
GG OFFs!
Because of the way the points are calculated in the freezecup, we knew that we only needed to hold RA area again, and with proper defensive play we could win in total points. Well, this map went as we wanted. We had RA control most of the time. We concentrated on battlesuit, and with it we did quite well against quads, which kind of were left to OFFs. In the end OFFs had to try even harder, which lead them to rush to the attacks. On the other hand our defensive style got us couple of easy points by just killing them one by one. Final score in this map 7-1. - blwrd (SZT proofreading systems©)
.- GPF -- - - -- 2002-09-24 -. Dammit this was close :) It was time for the quarterfinal match!1 We started off well on q3dm14tmp, getting a small lead, but then it was a rat race to the finish with GPF winning with 8-7 :/ :) On imr3dm1 both teams were even up until the very last minutes, when SZT made the leetest of comebacks, winning both the map and the whole match \o/ (8-5) wheee :D gg GPF!
.- GCB -- - - -- 2002-09-16 -. 3rd freezecup war, and victory was ours :)
q3dm14tmp by GCB Camping was the name of the game for us, which forced GBC to do it too =). I think they got most of the quads, but we managed to win this map with 7-3!1 cpm4 by szt On cpm4 we went a little more ffa, both paying off and carrying a high penalty :) Still quite well played and a win for us with 6-5 \o/ I was briefly hampered by my 762ms ping, but all's well that ends well ;) gg GCB! /phuked signs off
.- OFF -- - - -- 2002-09-08 -. First freezecup war, and victory was ours :)
q3dm14tmp by offs Map started a bit sloppy for us, and we never got good control on the quad. We changed our tactics a bit, and managed to control RA quite well, which lead us to few points lead. Quite even map with score of 8-5. cpm4 by szt This map started fast, and both teams scored once. After that we had our own camps on both side of the map. Almost 10 minutes went without points to either of the teams. We started to attack against their camp, and didn't succeed.. score 1-2. This lead us to try even harder, and in last 10 minutes we managed to score four times, and that was definately not an easy job to do! Final score 5-2 Great game offs! - blwrd out
